It
was a busy Easter weekend at Gransha Equestrian Centre, but organisers
and competitors alike were delighted that all went well, the weather
stayed dry and sunny if a bit on the chilly side and the jumps didn’t
blow over!
The horse working hunter competitions were well attended on Saturday,
with some riders still wanting to win qualifying cards for the Northern
Ireland Festival at Necarne and others wanting practice riding outside
again over a variety of interesting fences and fillers.
To top the day off the judges Harold and Jenny Lusk did an excellent
job of placing the winners and encouraging those who needed a bit
of help on the way, their tips were appreciated by all!
Saturday 29th March is the Pony Working Hunter and Sunday 30, round
2 of the Jump Cross. Don’t forget 10.00am start times both
days.

Sunday’s
Jump Cross competition was very well attended particularly in the
smaller classes. No one left the arena without completing the course
which consisted of 8 show jumps and 8 working/cross country fences.
It was lovely to see some new combinations in the junior section
and new faces competing for the first time in the seniors, all of
whom did exceptionally well!
Hopefully if these combinations continue to attend the next three
weeks competitions they will gain lots of confidence and experience.
In the 60cm competition we split the class into juniors and seniors
for the jump off against the clock.
